Savant Wines was founded
in 2005 in Southern California. We specialize in wine consulting services to businesses that buy or
sell wine. We focus on product selection, sourcing, purchasing and education. Our clients include restaurants,
hotel/resorts, internet retailers, culinary/hospitality schools and wine marketing companies.
My Wine Savant is our internet-based consumer wine guide, designed in a "Q & A" format.
Visitors can browse by "wine question", search by "wine answer" or submit their own wine question.
Shelby Ledgerwood, Founder
Shelby Ledgerwood is a wine writer, educator and consultant based in Los Angeles, California. She has worked in the food and wine industries for the past 17 years in Honolulu,
San Francisco and Los Angeles. She has held the positions of Beverage Director, Sommelier, Manager of Wine Sales
and Marketing, Regional Sales Manager and Wine Buyer.
In 2005 Ms. Ledgerwood
was accepted into the education program for the Institute of Masters of Wine (UK.) She
